Acer Aspire One BIOS update 3304 now available

I forgot to mention this last week. For those of you with Acer Aspire One netbooks, Acer has released an updated BIOS (v 3304) on their support website. The latest firmware is version 3304. Unfortunately there’s no change log so you don’t really know what Acer fixed in this BIOS but the fan noise was one of the issues that the BIOS supposedly resolved. Now the bad news – if you’re running Windows XP, you’ll need to somehow boot the machine into DOS. Luckily there are instructions online on how to do this. I’ll do a quick write up on how I did it (which basically is what is listed on that linky above) shortly (UPDATE: I’ve completed the write-up here). Is the fan noise better you ask? I think so.. but then again, I wasn’t annoyed by the fan to begin with. It appears the fan is now actually temperature controlled. I doubt you’ll hear the fan go away but it might not be as loud as it used to be.

ich kam durch Zufall auf diese Seite und möchte einen netten Gruß
hinterlassen ;) Ich würde mich freuen, wenn ihr auf meiner Homepage auch einmal vorbei schauen würdet! Vielleicht wollt ihr einmal auf Sylt/ Westerland oder an der Ostsee Urlaub machen?! Wir haben dort sehr schöne Meerblickwohnungen. Vielleicht bis bald einmal!

After use my laptop for a few hours, I shutdown the windows (XP) but I realized that the laptop does not shut down. Then I waited for about 15 minutes and pessed the power on/off bottom.
When I tried power on my laptop again ... nothing happened just the led of power on is lit and the windows does not boot.

The on-screen menus are easy to use and the display itself is really bright and sharp. Text, graphics and just about anything you’d want to display on it will turn out fantastic.

I have a Aspire One and for second time the Bios was corrupted and I must to send the laptop to Accer Support.
