Make sure your Aspire One is connected to an outlet – the update will not proceed if the Aspire One is running off the battery only. Type “3304.bat” and hit ENTER.

In order to update the BIOS (version 3304), you’ll need to boot the netbook into DOS.

After the BIOS update, is anyone able to boot from the SD expansion slot? Does that become one of the F12 boot choices? I want to run ubuntu netbook remix without having a usb stick jutting 2 inches out of the side of the computer... it would be great if someone (imagine if it was ACER?!?!) could confidently tell me how to get the aspire one AOA150-1447 to boot from an SD card? Are there different BIOS updates available to make the SD drive bootable? What is the latest release version of the BIOS?
