Thanks to CNET’s Crave web site, we’ve got some additional clarity into Toshiba’s first new netbook - the NB110 (which we’ve reported in the past as the NB100). The specs to the NB110 include the following:

• Intel Atom processor (but of course)
• 1GB RAM
• 120GB HDD
• Wi-Fi support
• Bluetooth 2.1 support
• Three USB 2.0 ports
• Windows XP
• Weight of 2.3 lbs

Unfortunately, the NB110 doesn’t appear to be coming to the U.S. anytime soon. A Toshiba rep at Ceatec said the netbook will be available first in Japan at the end of this month for around $660 and then later in Europe and other Asian countries. As for the U.S., the rep stated “The market is just not right yet”. Could he really mean “there are too many competitors right now?”
