Newegg selling the Eee PC 1000 40G SSD netbook for $449.99 after promo code
Another day.. another netbook sale. This time it’s Newegg.com as they’re running a promotion involving the ASUS Eee PC 1000 40G netbook. For a limited time, you can purchase this netbook for $449.99 (Normally $499.99 but Newegg has a $50 dollars off promo code). The promo code is “EMCBACDAJ” for the netbook. It’s not clear how long Newegg will run this promotion. The ASUS Eee PC 1000 40G has the following specs:
- Intel Atom processor
- 10 inch WSVGA display
- 1GB RAM
- 40GB SSD
- 10/100 Ethernet
- 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi
- 3 USB ports, 1 VGA port
- Built-in speakers
- 1.3 megapixel webcam

- Measures 10.47″ x 7.53″ x 1.12-1.50″
- Linux OS
Of course if you don’t need an SSD drive, you can opt for the 1000HA which is being sold for $429.99 at Newegg.com. It comes with a 160GB HDD and Windows XP Home.
