Kohjinsha introduces the SX3KP06MS UMPC/Netbook

Kohjinsha has announced the SX3KP06MS which is one part netbook, and one part ultra-mobile PC. The system has features that are common to netbook systems (Intel Atom processor, 8.9 inch display, built-in HDD, connectivity, and a media card reader), yet also comes with ultra-mobile PC like features such as a swivel touch-screen display (making it a convertible notebook system), an Atom processor designed for MIDs, and a built-in DVD drive. The full specs are as follows

Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Atom Processor Z520 running at 1.33 GHz
8.9 inch WXGAL Swivel LCD with touch screen
1GB RAM
60GB HDD
Built-in SuperMulti DVD drive
2 Built-in webcams – a front cam with 0.3 megapixel resolution and a back cam with 2.0 megapixel resolution
Ethernet/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth
Media Card reader for microSD, SD, MS, and MMC
ExpressCard slot
Weighs only 2.76 lbs

Unfortunately the system does have an ultra-mobile PC price. You can purchase the SX3KP06MS (ok the short name is SX3) through the Japanese gadget importer Dynamism for a price of $1299.

Notebook is my next plan of buying, though I have my laptop already. This one is way much handy and light, and love it's feature of being a tough screen. It would be a perfect notebook planner, especially if you are taking down notes. I haven't decided what brand to buy, I'm still considering a quality one but in a very affordable price.
