AU Optronics estimates 13 – 14 million netbooks shipped for 2008
With at least a 50 % of the netbook LCD panel market share, AU Optronics estimates the overall netbook market for 2008 will reach around 13 to 14 million units – higher than the previous estimates of 10 to 12 million. According to DigiTimes, netbook systems “contributed significantly to the shipment growth” of the company’s small to medium sized shipments.
