Samsung NP-NC10 un-boxing pictures
Yes, the Samsung NC10 (NP-NC10 to be exact) is in the house and we’ve got un-boxing pictures for you to check out. For those of you curious what the NC10 looks like compared to other netbooks, we have a couple of stills near the end of the posting that compare the NC10 against the 10 inch Lenovo IdeaPad S10 and the 8.9 inch Acer Aspire One. So, let’s get right to it – enjoy!
The following stills are for the packaging:
Kudos to Samsung for providing the recovery CDs (unlike almost all other netbooks out there). Of course you’ll still need an external CD/DVD drive to reinstall the image.
Now let’s take a look at the NC10 itself. Here’s the top:
The bottom:
The left side (which has a power jack, ethernet port, and two USB ports)
The front which has an SD card reader.
The right side which has the headphone jack, microphone jack, USB port, VGA out and power button at the hinge.
Here’s the six cell battery pack – it certainly adds a bit of heft to the netbook – but it also elevates the netbook to a more comfortable typing angle.
Here’s the power adapter:
Here’s what the netbook looks like with the battery in place:
The NC10 flipped open..
A close up of the keyboard
Here’s the panel.
Here are side by side shots comparing the Samsung NC10 (on the left) to the Lenovo IdeaPad S10 (on the right). The NC10 is ever so slightly wider and deeper.
Here is a shot of the Acer Aspire One (left), Samsung NC10 (middle), and the Lenovo IdeaPad S10 (right).
Overheard shot of the Lenovo IdeaPad S10 (left) and the Samsung NC10 (right).
All three netbooks stacked on top of one another. Samsung NC10 on the bottom, the Lenovo IdeaPad S10 in the middle, and the Acer Aspire One on top.
Initial impressions:
- Solid build quality
- Awesome keyboard – best keyboard yet for a netbook (edges out the MSI Wind)
- Slight heft to it thanks to the 6 cell battery
- Kudos to Samsung for bundling recovery CDs
- Touchpad is small but very usable
- Mouse button comfortable to use
Stay tuned for a review of the NC10 (as well as reviews for the other two netbooks.. I know, I’m a little late here). Hope you enjoyed this!
