Zoostorm Freedom netbook

With most major multi-national companies having already entered the netbook market, it’s now up to the smaller regional companies to make a name for themselves in this market. Case in point – UK computer manufacturer, Zoostorm, is entering the market with the (rather boring) Freedom netbook. Specs on the Freedom include:

Can anyone tell me how to get mobile broadband working, I have a tmobile dongel which is working fine on my pc, when I install it on the notebook, it comes up as saying cant find the connection. The correct light are coming on on the dongle and after speaking at length with tmobile they can only assume that there is some kind of restriction on the notebook. Any advice of this would be a great help. I can be conntacted on k.costello01@gmail.com Thanks

Re-installation of Windows XP: I followed the guide set out at

http://www.liliputing.com/2008/04/install-windows-xp-on-mini-note-usb.html

to install Win XP on a usb stick. The only problem that I had was that the C:\Windows\Boot.ini file needed editing before Windows would load up without the usb drive in place. After editing mine looked like this, yours should be similar

[boot loader]
timeout=30
Default= multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows

[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows="Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect

I was then left with the following yellow question marks in device manager.

Display, network adapters, audio, SM Bus controller.

I then used the “Unknown Device Identifier” program from Huntersoft which identified the unknown devices. I then searched the net for the required drivers, Following installation
the devices show up as:-

Display Adapter: Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family.
Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio
SM bus Controller: Intel 82801G SM Bus Controller
Network Adapters: Wireless – Atheros AR928X Wireless Network Adapter
Ethernet – Realtek RTL8139/810X Family Fast Ethernet NIC

All these can be searched for, freely downloaded and installed, (not as some people here wish to do and charge for them). I now have a fully working netbook without having to pay for the drivers. (You know who you are Darshak).

Hope this is of some help as the information regarding these netbooks is very limited.

Update your webcam driver to make sure you have the latest one.Then go to www.yawcam.com and download the software,your webcam should start up straight away after this.

i have a zoostorm netbook 10-270 and the camera is nopt working i think it needs drivers downloading but i bought it from argos, so they have no technical help available i cant seem to find anything online. can anyone help please

i have just bought a zoostorm freedom,in the power options properties it has a box under the power cable picture with a battery in it,under it says "not present"...i have stuck power cable in and it just goes straight to green on the black power cable box,it was the same when i got it this afternoon so i thought i would try it as seemed to have power and was watching the power indicator or green bar that appears if you "un tick" the "show details for each battery" on the power meter tab, but i had a sudden power loss so maybe battery had gone flat after about 30 mins... any ideas ?

I am replacing software on one that went blue screen. Unfortunately the owner did not keep the receipt or warranty. Can anyone e-mail me the drivers(audio, ethernet,vga, etc) Getting them from Zoostorms minimalist website is a lifetimes work.
