Best Buy stocking Nokia Booklet 3G
Although not very surprising, it looks like some Best Buy locations are already stocking the new Nokia Booklet 3G netbook in advance of the November 15th sale date. Best Buy should be taking pre-orders for the Booklet 3G which will go for $299 along with a new two year AT&T Data Connect Plan.

Acer Aspire One in copper available at Best Buy for $349.99
Just an FYI for anyone interested. While I was at the Best Buy website, I also noticed that they had begun offering the Acer Aspire One netbook in a copper color configuration. The price is also at $349.99 which will get you a system with:
- Intel Atom processor
- 1 GB RAM
- 8.9 inch TFT LCD widescreen display
- 120GB SATA HDD
- Intel GMA 950 graphics
- 0.3 megapixel webcam
- Digital media reader
- 3 USB 2.0 ports

Not sure about how all of you feel but the copper color is certainly appealing. Wish I could trade my blue Aspire One in for this one!

Best Buy offers the MSI Wind for $349.99
Best Buy has cut the price of the MSI Wind netbook (also known as the Q2 on the Best Buy website) down to $349.99. This particular system has the 10.1 inch WSVGA display, an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 120GB SATA HDD, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a digital media reader, 3 USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Windows XP Home OS. On the downside, this particular system only has the three cell lithium-ion battery. However, at $349.99, this is well below what other retailers are selling the Wind at. If you’ve been sitting along the sidelines for the Wind, this might be the time to dive in and get the netbook.

Best Buy selling the ASUS Eee PC 900A for $299.99
Best Buy lowered the price of the ASUS Eee PC 900A netbook from $329.99 to $299.99. The particular system has an Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8.9 inch WSVGA display, 4GB SSD, Intel GMA 950 graphics, a media card reader, 3 USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi, and Linux. Not a whole lot of disk space on this system but a very portable system for browsing the web and checking your email. Thanks to one of our readers for this tip!
MSI Wind spotted at Best Buy
The MSI Wind netbook finally made its appearance at my local West LA location of Best Buy. Above is a super grainy shot of the Wind (you can thank the graininess to my wonderfully crappy iPhone 3G camera!) which as expected was listed for $399. Now if you can’t seem to find the Wind on the Best Buy website it’s because the netbook is listed as the “Q2 – Netbook with Intel Atom Processor N270 – Black”. Now here’s the weird thing – the netbook is listed at $479.99 – not $399 as found at the actual store. Unfortunately I can’t tell if there’s anything different in the specs between the $399 store front version and the $479.99 online version. Hopefully there is!
One other note, Best Buy is selling the Celeron version of the ASUS 1000HD for a price of $379.99. An Atom based ASUS 900A is selling for $329.99
Best Buy will offer the MSI Wind for $399
Not surprisingly, MSI will be offering the MSI Wind netbook at Best Buy store fronts nationwide. The company mentioned earlier this week that they would begin offering the Wind at a national retail chain and of course, everyone looked at Best Buy as the first choice for distribution. According to CNET, MSI will offer only one configuration of the Wind at Best Buy. The specs include a 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of memory, Windows XP Home, a 120GB HDD, and a 3 cell battery. All this will be available for $399 which makes for a fairly competitive offering (though the 8.9 inch Acer Aspire One is still cheaper). The model has yet to appear on Best Buy’s website so I’ll try and check out my local store tonight to see if they have them in stock.
