Smooth Creation’s Smoothbook Slice – custom hand-painted netbooks
If you’re looking for that truly eye-catching netbook, then my friends, you’ll definitely have to check out the “Smoothbook Slice” netbook by the folks at Smooth Creations. Each Smoothbook Slice is custom hand-painted to meet the customer’s exact specifications. The company utilizes high grade automotive finishes, clear coats, and “special poly carbonate finishes” to make their netbook truly stand out.
TweakTown reports that Smooth Creations is now offering a 10 inch netbook model with an Intel Atom processor, a 120GB HDD, 1GB of memory, and integrated Wi-Fi. The system comes with either Windows XP or Windows Vista and of course is custom painted to your specs. From the pictures shown at TweakTown, the customized netbook appears to be a modded MSI Wind system.
The Smooth Creations website also lists an 8.9 inch netbook model going for $549.99. Judging from the specs and the pics, the 8.9 inch is a modded Acer Aspire One netbook which features the Intel Atom processor, an 8.9 inch display, 1GB of RAM, 120GB HDD, Intel GMA 950 graphics, Windows or Linux, and Wi-Fi networking.
I’ll try and get the prices for the 10 inch netbook model (which I can’t find on the Smooth Creations website right now). In the meantime, check out the 8.9 inch model or the many other custom painted systems from Smooth Creations.
